Meesho delivery-day problems: wrong parcel, missing item or delivered-but-not-received

The delivery notification arrives, but the parcel is not with you. Or the package is present, yet the item does not match your order. Both situations deserve prompt attention, but they require different evidence. Start with the order record rather than assumptions about the package.
First check: which item was due, whether the order is split into separate shipments, the status and time shown, and who actually received the parcel. Then document the specific mismatch.
Before the expected delivery
Open the order and confirm the item, variant, quantity and delivery address. If several items were ordered, inspect whether they have separate shipment information. One parcel arriving does not necessarily mean the whole order is complete.
Keep the order screen available and make sure the intended recipient knows what is due. If you are unavailable, make a sensible arrangement consistent with the delivery instructions; do not assume a neighbour or building reception has accepted responsibility without checking.
Choose the right branch
| What you find | Immediate check | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Delivered status, no parcel | Household, agreed receiving point and shipment details | Report the delivery discrepancy with the status time and checks made. |
| Parcel label does not match the expected order | Order/recipient information without exposing it publicly | Use official order support to clarify the shipment. |
| Correct parcel, wrong or incomplete contents | Ordered specification and received pieces | Document the mismatch and inspect the available item-specific claim route. |
| Visible damage | Package condition and the affected item | Preserve evidence and follow the applicable return or replacement process. |
If the status says delivered but nothing arrived
Check the household and any receiving location you actually authorised. Compare the address and shipment with the order you are viewing. Note the displayed delivery time and when you discovered the discrepancy. Do not accuse a particular person when you do not know who handled the parcel.
Use the order’s help flow and state the unresolved fact: “The app marks this shipment delivered at [time], but the recipient and agreed receiving point have not received it.” Ask for investigation of the delivery event and keep the support reference. Avoid confirming receipt simply to dismiss a screen when receipt is precisely what you dispute.
If the item is wrong, missing or damaged
Compare the received item with the selected variant in your order confirmation. Count the pieces and check whether another shipment is still pending. Photograph the overall contents and the relevant label or defect. Keep the product, tags, accessories and packaging together while you follow the order’s instructions.
Inspect the current product-specific return or replacement requirements before taking an irreversible action. Some categories, including smartphones, have special conditions and evidence requirements in Meesho’s published policy. An unboxing video is not a universal substitute for reading those terms.
Make evidence useful and private
- An overall image showing what arrived.
- A clear close-up of the missing-part position, damage or wrong specification.
- The order’s selected variant and quantity.
- A timeline of arrival, discovery and support contact.
- Any request or collection reference issued afterwards.
Retain original files privately. Crop address labels and phone numbers from copies sent outside the official private support conversation. Do not discard packaging or repair, wash or alter an item while deciding whether to request a return.
A concise delivery-support message
Shipment / item: [...] Status and time shown: [...] What actually happened: [...] Checks completed: [household / receiving point / split shipments / item count] Evidence: [relevant photos or screenshot] Please investigate [delivery event / incorrect contents] and confirm the next action for this item.
Keep the conversation focused on the specific discrepancy. Never share an OTP or UPI PIN with someone offering to release a refund, and do not pay a caller who claims an extra fee will resolve the complaint. Return to official in-app support to verify unexpected requests.
